Marcelle “Marci” Davis-Cook
Snowboard Cross
Marcelle ‘Marci’ Davis-Cook is an Australian snowboard cross (SBX) athlete who competes on the Europa Cup circuit and has represented Australia at three consecutive Junior World Championships to date. When she's not training or racing on snow in Europe or domestically, Marci is based on the east coast of Australia where she is studying a Bachelor of Biomedical Engineering at the University of Wollongong. One thing remains consistent whether she's on a mountain or in the surf - her love and respect of natural environments and the places that have shaped her.
“When I was just two years old, my Mum held me between her legs so I could feel the run of skis under my feet. I fell in love with the snow and the exhilaration of alpine racing, until a sibling rivalry led me to snowboarding when I was about 12. I haven’t looked back.
I’m so grateful for my journey that started in the tiny ski resort of Smiggin Holes at Perisher. Now, I’m chasing podiums on the world stage surrounded by some of the most majestic alpine environments on earth.
I’m stoked to join POW to help support the future of the mountains that have shaped me. The more voices involved, the greater the chances of future two-year-olds finding the love of snow that my Mum gave me."
