About Protect Our Winters Australia

Protect Our Winters (POW) is the leading voice on climate change for the winter and outdoor sports community.

Founded by professional snowboarder Jeremy Jones in 2007, POW has grown to a collective of over 60 million people across 12 countries who speak out, show up and act against climate change to ensure the protection of our unique alpine playgrounds.

The Australian chapter of POW launched in 2018, off the back of the warmest recorded year in Australia. POW Australia seeks to mobilise the Australian winter and outdoor sports community to take positive action towards climate change.

Protecting the places you love from climate change is a no-brainer. Since individual action is not enough on its own, we developed a policy agenda full of actionable solutions that will meaningfully impact our great escapes.
